PLAYERS and staff at Rangers have layed wreaths at Ibrox in memory of the legendary Walter Smith.
The Ibrox hero sadly passed away yesterday at the age of 73.
Smith won 10 Scottish titles, five Scottish Cups and six League Cups over two spells in charge, as well as leading Rangers to the UEFA Cup final in 2008.
He retired in 2011 but had a brief spell as the club’s chairman.
Captain James Tavernier and the experienced duo of Steven Davis and Allan McGregor laid a wreath, while manager Steven Gerrard and his assistant Gary McAllister also paid their respects.
Chairman Douglas Park and club directors were also in attendance.
