PARTICK THISTLE have signed Montrose forward Blair Lyons on a two-and-a-half-year deal, with the 23-year-old going back to the League One club on loan for the remainder of the season.
Lyons, who can play up front or on either wing, has seven goals and six assists to his name this season.
Thistle will be pleased to have secured Lyons' signature with St Mirren, Dundee United and Dundee all reportedly interested in the forward.
"I'm thankful it's finally done," Lyons told Jagzone. "It took a wee while but Partick showed faith in me to make the move happen. I'm glad it's finally done.
"There were a few teams [interested] but thankfully this was the club that pushed it far enough to make it happen.
"Being from Glasgow, I've got a lot of friends who are Partick Thistle fans so I know what it means to play for the club. It was an easy decision in the end. This is the best place for me, especially with who the gaffer is, and I feel this is where I'll excel and play my best football."
