Derek Ferguson has backed Alfredo Morelos to end his goal-scoring woes against Celtic in this weekend's Betfred Cup final - if he's given the service he needs from those around him.
Morelos has been outstanding for Gers so far this season, scoring 25 goals in 30 games.
Since he signed for the Light Blues back in 2017 he's bagged an impressive 73 goals in 121 matches.
Yet the one big goal which has so far eluded him has been against Celtic.
Seven Old Firm derbies have yielded no goals for El Buffalo.
But Ferguson believes Sunday's Hampden Park showcase would be the perfect time to end the hoodoo.
He told Open Goal: "[Morelos] is in fine form.
"He maybe didn't get the service he requires [against Aberdeen] but Hampden is a big park and it's a huge occasion.
"What better way to break your duck than to score in a cup final.
"He's obviously high in confidence... if you give him the service, he puts the ball in the back of the net."
