McLeish is hopeful both Tierney and Robertson will be fit to face San Marino in his side's second Group I game in Serravalle on Sunday.
Elsewhere, Callum McGregor, the Celtic midfielder, has been named Scotland captain in the absence of Robertson and Tierney.
