Tiger Woods and Ernie Els have been confirmed as the captains for the Presidents Cup in Melbourne next year.
The pair will face off in Australia with Woods skipper of the United States and Els leading the International Team.
Woods has been heavily involved despite a back injury plaguing his career recently.
He told the PGA: “I’ve played in the Presidents Cup eight times and I had a chance to serve as vice captain last year.
“I’ve had just the most amazing times and been able to play around the world. to do this with Ernie is a huge honour. I’ve always wanted to do it.”
He was an assistant to Steve Stricker in the Presidents Cup last year and has already has agreed to be a vice captain at the Ryder Cup in France in September.
Els becomes skipper after Nick Price had taken the role for the last three tournaments.
He said: “I’ve played in the Presidents Cup for many years. I’ve competed in it eight times and its a dream job for me. I love to get my hands dirty and see if we can win the cup.”
In 2017 the USA won the Cup 19-11 at the Liberty National Golf Club in New Jersey.
