A HUNGRY thief stole a packet of shortbread biscuits from a house - after another homeowner in the same town reported Dairylea Dunkers being nicked.
Police were called after the culprit was spotted in the kitchen of an empty house undergoing renovation.
Forensics attended to take prints after the break-in in Clydebank on February 17.
The biscuits were the only thing stolen, although a thermometer had been moved.
On January 22 last year, another homeowner in the town reported a break-in where four packets of Dairylea Dunkers, a bottle of Coca-Cola and a 2L pint of milk were taken.
Prescription medication was also pocketed during the theft on January 22, in West Court, Clydebank.
