Events at Queens Park Arena are back for another year as the summer programme has officially launched.

The seventh edition of the event, which will be held over three weeks, is organised by Inhouse Event Solutions CIC.

Among the festival's wide variety of free events are Cults & Classics, an open-air cinema; Open Stage which showcases local and international talent in the arts and music; and Glasgow Games which features fitness classes, and live sports screenings.

Additional attractions include the Greenhouse Tent, stretching over 320 square metres which will showcase creative art and graffiti workshops and DJ/MC lessons.

Chet Capkiner, founding director of Inhouse Event Solutions CIC, said: "I am very excited to welcome everyone in the southside and beyond back to Queens Park Arena this summer.

"I'm proud to be part of a team that is capable of delivering such a complex programme, one which we strive to improve every year.

Our mission is to create what we call ‘Professional Neighbourhood Productions’ that give our residents and local community access to a free, professional festival site with entertainment and programming designed to cater for as wide a range of audiences as possible.

"We want to create a place unlike any other in the city and be ‘the’ destination that people visit in Glasgow during the summer holidays."

The festival will run from June 28 until July 21.

Throughout the 24-day festival, patrons can visit the Bando Bar, a cafe bar which will operate from 12pm to 11pm every day.

It offers a range of drinks including lager and IPA from local award-winning Scottish brewers William Bros, to fresh roasted coffee from Glasgow's loved Dear Green coffee.

A variety of food such as fresh Woodfired pizza, nachos, popcorn and soft serve ice cream, with fresh fruit and allergy-free snacks will also be available.

This year's full programme listings will be announced on May 8 and tickets will go on sale at midday on May 9.
