An urgent warning has been issued as part of a major East Kilbride road is set to close tonight.
Traffic Scotland has warned road users the hard shoulder of the A725 East Kilbride Expressway's westbound carriageway will be shut from 8pm on Tuesday, April 9 until 3.30pm on Wednesday, April 10.
The road firm says it will be closed just after the Main Street off-slip due to fallen trees.
A spokesperson for Traffic Scotland said: "Urgent hard shoulder closure.
"A725 - East Kilbride Expressway (Westbound).
"Due to fallen trees on the A725, the Westbound hard-shoulder will be closed, just after the Main St off-slip, from 8pm April 9 until 3.30pm April 10."
