A busy street has been cordoned off by police for several hours following an 'incident'.
Officers were on a routine patrol in Blantyre on Wednesday evening when they attempted to stop a car on Church Street near St Andrew's Court.
The car is then alleged to have crashed into a police vehicle at around 7.30pm.
A male passenger got out of the vehicle and threatened cops with a bladed weapon before running off.
Officers are still trying to find him.
Meanwhile, a 34-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with alleged disorder and road traffic offences.
While a cordon remains, cops do not believe there to be any risk to the wider public.
