A great-gran from Glasgow has scooped a huge prize in the lottery.
Sadie, from Baillieston in the city, has scooped £200,000 on the Millionaire Street prize from the People's Postcode Lottery.
The 86-year-old bagged her windfall along with four other neighbours after G69 6DQ won the £1 million prize draw on Saturday, March 16 - with each ticket being worth £200,000.
Following the major prize, Sadie's daughter was 'gutted' at missing out on the jackpot, however, she is now celebrating after her mum said she'll go halves with her.
Her daughter, Sharon Docherty, 53, never joined the People’s Postcode Lottery when mum Sadie – who lives in the flat above her – signed up.
Sadie said: “I’ll half it with my daughter and sort the rest of the family out.”
Meanwhile, overjoyed mum-of-one Sharon said: “I’m over the moon at mum winning. I can’t thank her enough. She’s the best wee mammy ever.”
Mum-of-three Sadie, who has six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, said she's happy she can help Sharon - and the rest of the family following the win.
“I’m happy to share it with my daughter. I never ever thought I’d win. I‘ve never had that amount of money in my life. I’ve never even had half as much as that," Sadie said.
“I’m too old to do anything for myself, so I’ll mostly help out my family.”
“I’ve been to Devon a few times; I went there with my husband Jack. I could go back if I can get someone to go with me.
"I might also go and see my daughter who lives in Spain.”
The buzzing woman then joked about how long it would take for the money to drop into her bank account.
She said: “The quicker the better in case I die tomorrow!"
Meanwhile, Sharon, who works for Glasgow City Council, danced around with excitement after her mum’s cheque was revealed.
Sharon said: “Woohoo! Here we go!
"This is brilliant - amazing.
"We’ll split the cheque, but I’m gutted I never signed up. I don’t know why I never did.
"Probably because mum was playing, and I was doing other things. I should have, but I’ll start now.”
The mum is now planning a house revamp and to treat her partner, Paul Gallagher.
She added: “I’ll think of something to do with the money.
"Redecorate maybe, get a new bathroom. Paul just wants a special fish supper.”
A few doors down, mum-of-two Caroline Burns took a few minutes to come to the door because her bell wasn't working.
The 58-year-old then staggered back when Postcode Lottery ambassador Danyl Johnson unveiled her windfall.
After that, the stunned woman couldn't stop 'leaping around and screaming'.
Now, she plans to use some of the cash to complete a course in British sign language.
Caroline said: “Really? Wow! Oh my gosh! You should feel my heartbeat. The first thing I’m going to do is fix my doorbell!
“I’d like to complete the British Sign Language course.
"Years ago, I passed stage one of BSL.
"I was working for another optician at the time and wanted to sign for customers to help them.
“There are nine stages to the course, and it is really, really intense.
"But I would love to help kids in schools or nursery who are struggling with signing or hearing loss.”
The opticians' receptionist also wants to treat her family too - including Celtic-daft husband John, 62, and daughters Lisa, 24, an electrical engineer, and engineering student Katie, 19.
She said: “This means the world to me. I’ll be sorting the family out – my husband and two daughters.
“Lisa can get a wetsuit.
"My daughters are water babies, they love swimming and surfing and paddle-boarding - anything to do with the water.
"And Katie will be getting driving lessons now. We could also maybe get hospitality for John at Celtic Park.”
Caroline added: “We’ll take a family holiday to India to see John’s cousin.
"Then there might be a nice holiday for John and me. I’d go back to Italy and go to a vineyard there.”
The caring woman said she signed up for the lotto to help good causes.
“I decided to help out all these charities. There are so many good causes," Caroline said.
Now, on top of the street's huge win, a local charity has benefitted from the Millionaire Street prize pot as well.
The Glasgow North East Carers Centre has been awarded £75,000 thanks to players of the People's Postcode Lottery and Postcode Community Trust.
The charity supports over 400 carers around the northeast of Glasgow and provides a range of practical and emotional support to anyone in the community who cares for somebody.
Manager Jean McInaw said: "The news of the funding has been such a pleasant surprise to our team and will be vital in enabling us to continue and expand our support programme offerings.
"We provide person-centred, trauma-informed and wellbeing focussed advice and support to carers. A carer can be anyone who looks after a relative, friend or partner who cannot manage on their own."
She added: “It is likely we'll all be a carer at one point in our lives, so it is crucial we can be there for everyone and anyone at any given time."
