A man has died following an emergency incident on a Glasgow bus.

999 crews including police and paramedics were called to the service on Oak Street in the city centre on Tuesday morning.

A 52-year-old man was sadly pronounced dead at the scene following a medical episode.

Officers confirmed that they are not treating the incident as suspicious and a report will be prepared for the procurator fiscal.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 9.55am on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, we were made aware of a medical emergency on a bus on Oak Street, Glasgow.

“Emergency services attended however a 52-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. Next of kin are aware.

“There do not appear to be any suspicious circumstances and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”

A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We received a call at 0952 hours on Tuesday to attend an incident in Glasgow.

"We dispatched a rapid response unit, critical care paramedic and one ambulance to the scene.”
