A person has been rushed to hospital after an 'emergency' at a Glasgow train station.
999 crews including British Transport Police and ambulance teams were called to Glasgow Central shortly before 3pm on Thursday.
An eyewitness revealed that they saw officers 'marching through the station and down the escalators'.
They added: "It just seems odd, that many police."
Transport cops confirmed that they had responded to a medical emergency at the station.
A critical care paramedic and resuscitation rapid response units also attended and an ambulance transported the person to hospital.
A British Transport Police spokesperson said: "Officers were called to Glasgow Central railway station just after 3pm today (February 8) to reports of a medical emergency.
"Paramedics also attended and a person has been taken to hospital."
A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We received a call at 14:54 to attend an incident at Glasgow Central Station.
"An ambulance, a critical care paramedic and a resuscitation rapid response unit (3RU) were dispatched to the scene and one patient was transported to Glasgow Royal Infirmary."
