The Scottish Restaurant Awards is returning for its third year to celebrate the best and most diverse culinary talent in the country.

As expected, many of the eateries in our city have been recognised and named in hot categories, from Street Food Restaurant of the Year to Vegetarian Restaurant of the Year.

But only two are in the running for the ultimate accolade - Scottish Restaurant of the Year.

Meat Joint Scottish Steakhouse and Stailinn Scottish Kitchen are among the finalists for the award.

The Sauchiehall Street steak eatery is popular with some of Glasgow's famous faces including Capital presenter Tallia Storm. 

Meanwhile, we previously reported that Stailinn Scottish Kitchen was the latest venture by the team behind popular Ayrshire eateries Drunken Coo Steakhouse, Hollybush Inn, Arthur Street Kitchen and Stage Door Cafe.

It opened in Silverburn in 2022.

A spokesperson for the awards said: “The Scottish Restaurant Awards are an amazing opportunity to celebrate and showcase the very best and diverse range in Scottish dining.

"We are thrilled to have such a strong mix of talent nominated for this year’s awards and we want to wish all of our finalists the best of luck."
