A bus stop in Glasgow has closed today due to emergency works.

A laminated sign was put up at the stop on Union street, which stated that work would begin today, leaving the bus stop out of use.

The sign did not say how long the work will take to complete, but it did detail that commuters are to use the nearest alternative stop for services which is located on Jamaica Street.

The sign also stated that the following services are to use the first bus stop on Argyle Street - 6. 7, 7A, 18, 21, 75, 263, 267, N18 and N267.

First Bus have apologised for any inconvenience and stated that the closure is for reasons beyond their control.
