A busy city train station is set for a fun and festive takeover.
On December 14 for one day only, Glasgow Central Station will be flooded with Christmas cheer with entertainers under the iconic clock from 7am to 7pm.
The Theatre Royal Youth Academy and Maggie's Line Dancing Group will be singing and dancing to jolly tunes with Santa rumoured to be stopping by on the day.
Giving the gift of Christmas spirit to commuters is part of Glasgow Care Foundation's festive fundraiser to help those living in poverty.
The money raised will buy supermarket vouchers for families living in poverty to spend on what they need, whether that’s Christmas dinner, essential household goods or even a toy from Santa.
Volunteers will be accepting donations and staff members will be treating the crowds to a few musical numbers as part of the charity’s bid to hit their impressive £5,000 target.
Money raised goes straight to those in need, meaning even the smallest amount can make the biggest difference this Christmas.
Alistair Campbell, chairman of Glasgow Care Foundation, said: “We are particularly proud of our Christmas Campaign, which raises funds to give supermarket vouchers to individuals and families who deserve support at this difficult time.
"The contributions we raise in the campaign will help us alleviate food poverty, whilst allowing the dignity of choice to many people who need help.”
