AS Bonfire Night gets closer, here's what you need to know about the Glasgow North East Fireworks Festival.
It will take place on Sunday, November 5, at Glasgow Fort and the event will kick off at 11am and finish at 10pm.
It will include a fireworks display and a range of entertainment including performances from local musicians, a funfair, and a live wrestling show.
On top of that, there will also be a selection of pop-up food stalls, as well as the restaurants in the shopping area.
Key timings of the event:
- The free festival will open at 12pm with stage performances starting from 12.15pm, including music from The Wee Garage Band at 5pm and songs from The Drifters and Motown at 6pm.
- The fireworks display will then take place from 7.30pm and the final act closing the event will take place between 8pm and 9.30pm.
Key information for the event:
- Funfair rides at the festival will be subject to a small cost.
- Alcohol will be prohibited at the event and sparklers will also be banned for safety.
For those travelling to the Fort for the event - walking or taking public transport is being recommended by the organisers.
However, those travelling by car will be able to park in designated festival car parks including Glasgow Club Easterhouse, The Lochs Shopping Centre, and Platform, and the art centre on Westerhouse Road.
Meanwhile, Glasgow's Fort will remain open as usual throughout the day.
