Three Glasgow community centres will re-open to the public for the first time since the pandemic.

Barmulloch and Drumchapel Community Centres and Partick Burgh Hall were transformed into vaccination centres amid the battle against Covid-19.

They were closed to the public throughout the pandemic while they were leased by the NHS Scotland to deliver Covid and flu jabs.

Now, Glasgow Life has confirmed that Barmulloch and Drumchapel community centres will be accessible to locals from Monday, June 26.

Partick Burgh Hall is due to reopen for a wide range of community activities and events on Monday, July 3.

Bailie Annette Christie, Chair of Glasgow Life said: “The reopening of these three buildings will be greatly welcomed by local organisations and groups who have missed having them as their focal points.

"It is particularly important that community venues are available for people to be able to come together for shared activities and events that promote social inclusion, physical health and mental wellbeing.”
