Michelin-starred chef Gordon Ramsay is looking for the UK's most exciting and innovative new food and drinks business to invest in.

His new BBC programme 'Gordon Ramsay's Future Food Stars' will see the chef and TV personality choose from 12 entrepreneurs to invest £150,000 of his own cash.

The contenders will need to prove they have the raw ingredients required to succeed: determination, dedication, passion and talent.

There will be a series of challenges designed to test each contestant to the limit, showcasing their character and business acumen.

Ramsay said: "Putting the contenders through their paces was crucial for me.

"How do they react under pressure, in a difficult situation, a challenge outside their comfort zone?

"It’s no different to being in business, being up against it - and when the chips are down, then you dig deep."

When is it on TV?

The show will air on BBC One on Thursdays at 9pm.

It will be available to watch back on BBC iPlayer.
