She wrote on Just Giving: "I am raising money for Labrador Rescue in memory of my little sister who was tragically taken from us April 23, 2023, pregnant with her first baby.
"I have given myself 52 days to walk the North Coast 500 which takes me up to a year from when she was found.
"It’s a virtual challenge so let’s hope the weather is kind to me and my four-legged friends."
Sarah successfully completed the challenge by walking 500 miles on Saturday, April 8, and has so far raised more than £4150.
Marelle was from Wick, in the Highlands, but moved to Glasgow when she was 17 to pursue a career in the performing arts.
She later became a primary school teacher after completing her post-graduate diploma in education.
She worked at Sandwood Primary School, in the Penilee area, for more than six years.
