One of Glasgow's oldest pubs with over 230 years of history, the Scotia Bar is plagued by tales of ghosts and hauntings.

The pub is rumoured to be haunted by both a ‘grey lady’ and a ‘green lady’. The former is a woman in a white wimple who sits at the bar or in the snug, while the latter is dressed in a green velvet dress and supposedly stalks the pub by walking up and down it.

Other reported sightings include the ghost of a manager who hanged himself in the pub’s cellar, as well as a young boy, the former owner’s son, who has been seen playing in the doorway.

Tron Theatre

Provan Hall

Glasgow Times:

At over 500 years old, Provan Hall is one of the city's oldest buildings - with some intriguing spooky stories to tell.

Visitors have recalled seeing the ghostly face of a woman looking out from the dining hall window, while there have been multiple reports of people seeing Reston Mather, the last owner of the Hall before his death from sickness and pneumonia in the 1930s.

There is even an urban legend that the ghosts of James V and Mary Queen of Scots roam the hall as they would have in life as regular visitors.
