Brendan Rodgers has opened up to his barber about how he is feeling ahead of his return to Celtic.

It was announced on Monday that the Northern Irishman would be back for a second spell to manage the Hoops, replacing Ange Postecoglou who left for EPL side Tottenham.

And as he prepares to come back to Glasgow, his barber Heady Aokye has said that the 50-year-old chatted to him about the move during a recent appointment.

Aokye told SunSport: "He told me that the best moments of his life were in Glasgow and Scotland.

"He is definitely very excited and very happy to be going back.

"He says the fans are unbelievable - and he says he will take me to Glasgow for a game sometime!

"He said he had other options and was going to take a year away but he couldn't say no to Celtic."

Glasgow Times:

Aokye, who runs Samhead Y2 Barbers in Alderley Edge, has many familiar faces in the sporting world as clients, including Robbie Savage, Mo Salah and Michael Carrick.

Rodgers is said to be earning nearly £3 million a year at Celtic in a record-breaking contract that will run until 2026.

We also reported that he will have a whopping balance of £30 million in the pot for transfers.

He is expected to have his first press conference at Celtic Park on Friday.
