HARDY fundraisers are taking on a fiery challenge in aid of a city cancer charity tonight (October 27).
Maggie’s Glasgow, at Gartnavel Hospital, is staging its first public event since the pandemic brought everything to a halt – and they are hoping brave volunteers will join them for a dramatic Firewalk.
It takes place from 5.30pm tonight.
A charity spokesperson said: “The idea behind a fire walk is to face your fears and get through something you didn’t think possible. It marries in well with the Maggie’s philosophy of supporting people through difficult times in their lives and helping them work through their cancer journey.”
There will be music, Halloween treats donated by Morrison’s Partick and a Halloween activity table for children. Supporters are encouraged to come and cheer on friends and family
It costs £30 to sign up, and walkers are asked to aim for raising £100, but every little helps.
