A HUNT is underway for a man after a daylight sex attack at a train station in Lanarkshire.
Police have appealed for information following the sexual assault on a woman at Hamilton West last Friday.
After getting off a train on platform two at around 12.10pm and walking up a flight of stairs, the victim was approached by a man who carried out the attack.
The suspect is described as white, between 20-30 years old, of slim build, with dark hair and scars on his cheek and nose. He was wearing a black hoody with a white top underneath, and black trousers.
Officers are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident to assist their enquiries.
