A BODY pulled from a river has been confirmed to be missing man Jamie Waugh. 

The 29-year-old had not been seen since January 31, when he left an address in Larkhall. 

His body was sadly discovered on Sunday, August 1, near to Glen Avenue in the town.

Cops say there are no suspicious circumstances.

A statement from the force read: "Police Scotland can confirm that the body of a man recovered from water near to Glen Avenue, Larkhall on Sunday, August 1, 2021 has been formally identified as missing man Jamie Waugh (29).

"His family have been informed.

"There would not appear to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding his death. A full report has be sent to the procurator fiscal."
