A "BEST-loved" Glasgow priest has died.
The Archdiocese of Glasgow announced that Father Gus Hurley passed away, aged 92.
He died in his native home Ireland on August 3.
Father Hurley was a former parish priest at Holy Family and St Ninian’s Parish – Kirkintilloch.
A post on Twitter, by Archdiocese of Glasgow, said: "It is with sorrow that we have to announce the death of one of the Archdiocese's oldest and best-loved priests, Fr Gus Hurley.

"He was 92 years old and died in his native Ireland. Funeral 11.30 am August 13 Holy Family/St Ninian’s."
Hundreds of people paid tribute.
One person wrote: "So so sad to hear this news. What a wonderful man who was part of so many special moments in our lives not least our wedding and most of my sacraments. What a wonderful man and a outstanding life of selfless service. God bless."
Another added: "So sad to hear this. A true gentleman who had so much respect in the Kirkintiloch community. Rest in peace Father."
Someone said: "Very sad news to hear of his passing, he was an absolute inspiration to the priesthood and a true gentleman who brought great joy to the parish. He loved St Ninian's. Fond memories certainly. May he rest in eternal peace."
