THE body of a man has been recovered from water in Larkhall. 

Cops say they were called to the scene at Glen Avenue at 10.10pm on Sunday. 

Enquiries are currently ongoing to identify him, but it is believed the family of a local missing man has been informed. 

There appears to be no suspicious circumstances in regards to his death.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “Around 10.10pm on Sunday, 1 August, the body of a man was recovered from water near to Glen Avenue, Larkhall.

"Enquiries are ongoing to identify the man at this time.

"There would not appear to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death. A full report will be sent to the procurator fiscal."
