TWO men were charged over bike thefts in the South Side of Glasgow.

The pair, aged 28 and 24, were arrested and held on remand after a "number of acquisitive crimes".

It is not known when they were arrested or when they will go to trail.

Police in the South East of the city said the two men were held in custody and then remanded in an unspecified prison.

It comes as part of Operation Optimize, Police Scotland's bid to crack down on rocketing levels of bike thefts.
