THE funeral for a teenager who drowned at Loch Lomond will be held in his secondary school.

A service to remember Connor Markward will be held at Lochend Community High School before he is taken to Daldowie Crematorium to be laid to rest.

Emergency services had been called to Loch Lomond on July 23 after reports of a young man in trouble in the water.

Glasgow Times:

The 16-year-old was pronounced dead shortly after.

Devastated friends paid tribute to a "one in a million" young man.

Two fundraising pages have also set up to raise funds for Connor's family.

One, created by Kenzie Parks, reads: "I just wanted to set up this go fund me page with the permission of Connors sister to let everyone contribute to help raise money to help Connors family through the time that they are currently going through."

It will also be screened live online for those unable to attend the service in person.
