A PERSON has been hit by a train in Glasgow.

The line between Dalmuir and Anniesland has been closed off as emergency services deal with the ongoing incident. 

The person's contition is currently unknown. 

ScotRail customers have been warned to expect travel distruptions.

A spokesman said: "Unfortunately we've received reports of a person being struck by a train between Dalmuir & Anniesland.

"We're working closely with emergency services at this time and expect services to be disrupted for the rest of the morning.

"Services via Singer will be diverted via Yoker."

A British Transport (BTP) spokesman said: "BTP were called to Drumry railway station at 8.41am this morning following reports of a casualty on the tracks.

"Paramedics are on the scene with the casualty.

"This incident is not being treated as suspicious."
