A MAN is in hospital after being violently attacked in his own home.
Police were called to a property on Industry Street in Kirkintilloch at 7.20am yesterday morning after receiving a report that an occupant had been assaulted.
A 50-year-old man was taken to the Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment to a facial injury.

Inquiries into the incident remain ongoing.
Anybody with information is urged to contact Police Scotland.
A spokesman said: "At 7.20am on Wednesday, May 12, we received a report of an assault of a 50-year-old man within a property on Industry Street in Kirkintilloch.
“He has been taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary with a facial injury and enquiries into the incident are ongoing.
“Anyone with any information about the incident is asked to call 101, quoting incident number 0450 of May 12.”
