Heartless thieves targeted an East End church in a mindless break-in bid yesterday evening.
Police were called to St Jude's Parish Church in Garrowhill shortly after 11pm after receiving reports of the incident.
Although no culprits were caught, police have launched a probe into the attempted break-in.

Officers are appealing to the public for any information.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: "If you were in the area at that time and saw or heard anything which might be relevant, we would like to hear from you.
"Please contact us on 101, quoting inc #3639/02."
