Little Darci Cooney got an early Christmas wish and her reaction would put a smile on the Grinch.
The six-year-old's mum Nadia surprised her with a shihpoo spitz, the family has named Taffy, after she came home from school and it was all too much for the wee girl.

Nadia, who lives in Hamilton, said: "She has always wanted a dog and wants to be a vet when she's older. It was the best reaction ever.
"She's such a good wee dog too."
