NICOLA Sturgeon has warned Scots not to travel to beauty spots as Loch Lomond residents were forced to stay inside after huge crowds travelled there.
Residents in Luss on the idyllic banks of Loch Lomond said they were forced to retreat indoors after huge crowds flouted guidelines on the first weekend since lockdown restrictions were eased.
On Friday, lockdown measures were eased to allow sunbathing in parks and open areas but Scots were urged not to travel more than five miles from home.
A reminder that you should not be flocking to beauty/tourist spots - or travelling more than around 5 miles from your home for leisure/recreation. Doing so puts yourself and others at risk and increases chance of restrictions having to be reapplied. https://t.co/aHiaupGOkq

The First Minister tweeted: "A reminder that you should not be flocking to beauty/tourist spots - or travelling more than around 5 miles from your home for leisure/recreation. Doing so puts yourself and others at risk and increases chance of restrictions having to be reapplied."
Police patrolled the beach and the main street and shops, hotels and toilet facilities were closed.
