A LEGENDARY Glasgow DJ has launched a series of mixes to help brighten self-isolation.

JD Twitch, of the DJ duo Optimo posted the first in a weekly series of mixes at the weekend.

The Sub Club favourite wants to keep party-goers going in self-isolation with mixes designed to brighten people's locked-down weekends.  

With pubs, clubs and other venues closed for the foreseeable future, the online DJ set is available on Soundcloud to keep people stuck on their own in the party spirit. 

The DJ described the mix in a Facebook post as "Isolating party music".

Optimo was formed in Glasgow in 1997 by DJs JD Twitch and JG Wilkes. 

The duo have achieved world-wide success off the back of their now-discontinued legendary Sunday night sets in Jamaica Street's Sub Club.
