A MAN has been sent for trial charged with murdering a woman who vanished nearly three weeks ago.
Ross Willox is accused of killing Emma Faulds, 39, of Kilmarnock, Ayrshire, who was last seen in Monkton, near Prestwick, on April 28.

Willox, of Monkton, who turned 40 on the day he made his second appearance at Ayr Sheriff Court, made no plea to charges of murder and attempting to defeat justice.
He was remanded in custody, fully committed for trial.

Police searching for Ms Faulds’ body have appealed for mobile phone or dash cam footage of a black Mercedes and black Jaguar cars, known to have been on the A714 Girvan to Newton Stewart road between April 29 and 30.

Det Ch Insp Martin Fergus, leading the inquiry, said: “What Emma’s family is going through is unimaginable and our priority is to find her.”
