HOLLYWOOD superstar Hugh Jackman has thanked the “amazing people of Glasgow” as he leaves the city following a three-night sting at the SSE Hydro.

The Greatest Showman star kicked off his world tour at the Scots venue to critical acclaim on Tuesday night.

Tens of thousands of fans from across Glasgow and beyond were left raving after the 50-year-old, flanked by a live orchestra, belted out tunes from Les Miserable and other Broadway classics.

Fans were left in shock over the three nights after “This Is Me” singing sensation Keala Settle appeared on stage to sing the global smash-hit track.

Rounding off his time in the city, Jackman shared a snap of himself, Settle and all those whole been involved in the show outside the SSE Hydro.

He wrote online: “Thank you to all the amazing people of Glasgow. ANTWERP batten down ... we’re coming for you! #TheManTheMusicTheShow.”
