They were apparently unaware of the incident, a city council spokesman said.

The Glasgow City Council has now confirmed that the school will be "open as normal" tomorrow following the discovery.

A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: "At around 12.30pm police were called to reports of the body of a man being found inside school grounds at an area of Tarfside Gardens in Glasgow.

"A post-mortem examination is due to take place to establish the exact circumstances surrounding the death."
