Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was attacked in her own home in Co Armagh.
The aggravated burglary occurred at about 8.30pm on Thursday when a number of men broke into a house in the Bleary Road area of Craigavon.
The woman locked herself in a bedroom when she heard the intruders, but the men forced their way in.
She was pushed against a wall when she confronted one of the men.
A further struggle ensued and one of the men hit the woman a number of times in the face.
As the intruders fled the scene they smashed the windows of a car that had arrived at the property.
Officers said a phone and a small sum of cash were stolen.
Detectives said it was an extremely traumatic experience for the woman, who should be able to live without fear in her own home.
They are urging anyone who saw suspicious activity in the area to contact them in Lurgan or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
