A fire involving a car transporter lorry has caused major delays with the M74 remaining closed
All lanes of the M74's southbound carriageway have been affected and the northbound carriageway is closed.

The incident occurred between junctions 9 and 10, near Lesmahagow in South Lanarkshire.

No one is thought to be injured as a result of the incident.

Traffic is being diverted off at J10 Wellburn with drivers warned to expect delays and avoid the area if possible.
