THE TV licence fee is to rise in April.
From April 1, the cost of a television licence is to go up from £150.50 to £154.50, the government announced.
Now anyone watching or recording TV programmes as they are shown or watching or downloading BBC iPlayer will be charged an extra £2.97 a week or £12.87 a month.

The charge also applies to those watching TV on laptops, tablets and phones.
The BBC said the rise is in line with inflation.
