GLASGOW residents have been affected by disruption to the water supply.

Scottish Water said reports had been received in the G11, G12, G20, G61 and G62 areas of Glasgow about low pressure and a complete shutdown of the water supply.

A burst water main on McFarlane Road in Bearsden is thought to be responsible for the problem and engineers have been sent to the area.

A spokesman for Scottish Water said: "We are aware residents in the G11, G12, G20, G23, G61, G62 area of Glasgow are currently experiencing no water or low pressure.

"A burst water main has just been located on the M1, McFarlane Road Bearsden and our operatives are on their way.
