TRAVELLERS may have a late start to their holiday after Glasgow Airport suspended all flights.

The airport's Twitter page states as of around 9am that, due to heavy snowfall, all operations have been suspended until the runway can be cleared of heavy snow.

Anyone who is visiting the airport today should routinely check the airport's social media accounts and official website at glasgowairport.com for more information.

Glasgow Airport confirmed at around 10.45am that airfield teams had cleared the runway and operations had resumed.
