A cannabis farm worth a six-figure street value has been uncovered in East Kilbride.

Officers from the local problem solving and DAVRU teams searched a premises on Carron Place where the stash, alleged to be cannabis worth £221,000, was found.

Three men aged 41, 33 and 21-year-old were arrested and detained in custody in relation to various misuse of drugs offences.

The trio will appear at Hamilton Sheriff Court on Wednesday January 9.

"A significant quantity of drugs has been recovered and 3 people charged as a result of this operation. We continue to robustly target those involved in the supply of controlled drugs in our communities.

"We will always look to act upon information provided by the community, who play a vital role in our response to those involved in the illicit supply of drugs.

The bust comes just weeks after weapons and drugs were seized from other address in the town.

A four-figure sum of cash, taser, drugs including cannabis, cocaine and Diazepam, and various weapons were seized for destruction.

A 33-year-old man was arrested and two others were reported for the stash.
