SCHOOL friends of a teenager who died after being hit by an HGV will tomorrow pay tribute to him.
Holyrood Secondary is to host a special service for Albbari 'Barry' Arshad who died in hospital last Wednesday.
A delegation from the school will also attend the 15-year-old's funeral next week.
Sharon Watson, Holyrood Secondary School Headteacher said: "Our thoughts and prayers are with family and friends at this very sad and tragic time.
"We will be offering our young people any support that's needed during the days ahead."
Barry, who was out with three other boys, was hit by the HGV at around 9.25pm on Saturday, December 1 in Strathaven.
He later died in Hairmyres Hospital in East Kilbride but his school refrained from announcing the death until after the prelim exams.
A Crowdfunder for his family has now raised £2400.
