A SWAN “just chilling” is causing long queues on the M8 eastbound this morning.
Traffic Scotland alerted its Twitter users to the unusual incident just after 8am.
The team wrote: “#M8 E/B J16 Craighall - lane 3 (Of 4) due to a swan just chillin on the carriageway. Traffic back to J21 Seaward Street.”

It later emerged the swan was injured and that the Scottish SPCA had been made aware.

In other travel news, a crash near the Erskine Bridge has been causing delays as police attend the scene.
