COMMUTERS travelling to and from Glasgow's South Side could be hit with major delays after a signalling fault on train lines.

Rail services between Glasgow Central and Newton Lanark are facing major disruption after a signalling fault on the line.

A number of stations, mainly in the South Side, will be affected.

Trains through Pollokshields West, Maxwell Park, Shawlands, Pollokshaws East and Langside will all be hit on Monday morning.

A bus replacement service is currently in place for some routes, with tickets accepted on some journeys.

Trains through Stewarton have also been hit this wet Monday morning after a safety inspection on the track.
