DOGS Trust Glasgow is appealing for new homes for some of their canine residents this Halloween.

Can these canines put you under their spell?

Buddy
Breed: Beagle
Age: Six

Glasgow Times:

Buddy is looking for an experienced dog owner who can give him the time he needs to adjust to a new home. He is a lovely boy who can be worried by new situations. He can live with young people over the age of 16 and would require a home with a secure garden and lots of time with his new family to build up a close bond.

Kia
Breed: Malamute Cross
Age: Two

Kia is a gorgeous girl with lots of character. As she is one of the liveliest dogs at the rehoming centre. Kia is looking for an experienced family of dog owners, especially larger breeds as she is very strong. Potential owners should be willing to visit Kia a few times to build up a relationship with her.

Callie
Breed: German Shepherd
Age: Three

Glasgow Times:

Callie is a very sweet, sensitive girl. She is looking for a home with rescue dog experience that will give her space and time to settle. She will need time to adjust and be allowed to take things at her own pace, although once she has built up a bond with her new owners, she is a very loyal and loving dog that enjoys lots of cuddles.

Peggy Sue
Breed: Crossbreed
Age: Six

Glasgow Times:

Peggy Sue is a sweet, little lady and loves nothing more than cuddling up, however is definitely not your typical lap dog. Although she likes a lot of attention, Peggy Sue is also an independent lady who enjoys doing her own thing. She does enjoy having company so will need someone to be around most of the day and gradually build up the length of time she can be left alone.

Molly
Breed: Terrier
Age: Six

Glasgow Times:

Molly is a sensitive girl who is looking for a home with a family who will give her space and time to settle. Having experience of owning dogs would be beneficial as Molly would need her new owners to work with Dogs Trust’s training team to give Molly the best start in her new home. She can potentially be left on her own for a few hours each day so a family of vampires might be suitable for Molly.

Potter
Breed: Labrador Cross
Age: Nine

Glasgow Times:

Potter may be an older gentleman but he is definitely a young dog at heart. He is looking for a home with calm and confident owners who will give him time and space to settle in. He would prefer a home where someone will be around most of the day to keep him company.

Hedgehog
Breed: Terrier Cross
Age: Six

Glasgow Times:

Hedgehog  adores human companionship and will get to know you pretty quickly. He likes giving everyone the warmest welcome and wags his entire body the first time he meets them. He is a typical Terrier who is always on the go and exploring, therefore previous Terrier experience would be beneficial.

Pippa
Breed: Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross
Age: One

Glasgow Times:

Pippa is a young girl looking for a committed home that will give her the time and basic training she needs. Someone who has experience with dogs would be preferred and she would really benefit from an active home that will keep her both physically and mentally fit.
