Extra trains will be put on to accommodate thousands of people travelling to Bellahouston Park for Glasgow Summer Sessions.

ScotRail have confirmed that extra carriages will be added to services travelling on the Paisley Canal Route.

The train operator has reminded customers that trains will run between Glasgow Central and Dumbreck only after 10pm.

Replacement bus services will operate between Glasgow Central and Paisley Canal, calling at all intermediate stations, to cope with the change.

Additional carriages will also be added to Wednesday’s late night trains from Glasgow to Kilmarnock, East Kilbride, Gourock and Ayr.

Thousands of music fans are expected to attend the music event which takes places over Wednesday 22nd, Saturday 25th and Wednesday 29th August.

Kings of Leon, Catfish and the Bottlemen and Kendrick Lamar will be headlining the outdoor shows.

Glasgow Subway said they wouldn't be putting on extra services but may run more carriages to cope with demand.
