The owner of a popular Glasgow eatery has scooped a top industry award.

Giovanna Eusebi, of Eusebi Deli, has been named Restaurateur of the Year at the Business Women in Scotland Awards.

Giovanna is the owner and chef at the popular deli and restaurant in the West End.

She has a passion for creating simple Italian dishes, using recipes passed down from a long line of strong Italian 'Eusebi' women.

The business woman sources the majority of her ingredients direct from Italy to bring the true taste of the country to Scotland.

Speaking of her win, Giovanna said: “Business Women in Scotland is the first awards event of its kind in Scotland to recognise women’s contribution to the hospitality industry which is fantastic to see.

“At Eusebi Restaurant and Deli we have always had strong women at the core, with recipes handed down through generations and a sense of that influence apparent throughout the business.

“Winning is not just my achievement but a collective effort from generations of great women in my family and an amazing team who share our passion for delivering an honest quality product. I couldn’t be prouder of them all.”

Giovanna beat off competition from Jak O’Donnell of The Sisters Restaurant and Carla Lamont of Ninth Wave Restaurant on the Isle of Mull.
