A Halloween carnival is returning to Glasgow this year promising fun and fear in Pollok.

Spooktacular organisers are “expecting to sell out tickets” as they prepare to take over the Green Car Park at Silverburn from Friday, October 6 to Sunday, October 29.

The festive themed fairground has something to offer all the family including a wide range of exciting rides and Halloween food options.

Tickets will give visitors unlimited access to over 15 rides for the duration of a four hour session alongside access to photo opportunities, paid games, and attractions.

This year will also feature a Spooky Silent Disco for the first time for those who like to party.

Thrill seekers can enjoy a shot on the haunted Tagada, a cursed spinning bowl where riders grip bars instead of restraints, as well as the Waltzers, Ghost Train, and phantom dodgems.

A Ferris wheel, and Pirate Ship are also rides to look forward to at Spooktacular.

Ticket prices are based on height rather than age, meaning if you’re tall enough to ride everything then you’ll need a different ticket to those who aren’t.

Spooktacular organisers said: “Spooktacular, Scotland’s favourite Halloween event, returns to Glasgow this October, bringing fear, fun and frolics.

“The spookily themed fairground has something on offer for all the family whether you are a brave, or indeed a scaredy cat.

"After the electrifying success of their past events, Spooktacular and Galactic Carnival, Spooktacular are conjuring up a sensational event for the spook-tastic season, bewitching all the family in the Green Car Park at Silverburn.

"Unleash your inner thrill-seeker as we cast a spell of fun and fear, with guests expecting attractions including a wide range of exciting rides, Spooky Silent Disco, photo opportunities and fang-tastic food options.

“A limited number of tickets may be available on the door, subject to availability, however we expect days to sell out.”
